What would have happened to the Children of Israel, had they worshipped God every time they a problem arose? What would have happened if instead of remembering Egypt and slavery, they remembered each time God delivered them out of the hand of the enemy?
Well, we don’t have to ponder on those questions, too long. Scripture tells us that God became weary of their murmuring and complaining. Instead of inheriting the Land of Milk and Honey, they continued to wander in the wilderness.
Have you stopped to consider why worship is so important?
There are several reasons. One being it allows you to enter into the place God has for all of His children. That place is in His presence. It’s the Holy of Holies. While we’re there, basking in His Glory, we can receive the gifts he has for us. Gifts of strength, peace, direction, instruction, power, etc… whatever we need is in the Father’s presence. But we can’t get there complaining.
When we worship, we use our mouths as instruments. We use our mouths to uplift The Most High! We use our mouths to bless Him and outwardly express our gratitude for all He has done for us. When we worship Him, we use our mouths to bless and not curse. When we worship Him, we create an atmosphere that He can and will dwell in. While we are worshipping our Father, Satan cannot use our words against us! The enemy is rendered powerless. And the Angels are strengthened to war on our behalf. There is no place for the enemy in worship. There is only God’s presence!
As we go about our daily lives. Let’s make the decision to be worshippers, in every situation. I know it may seem hard at times. But, remember, when you want to give up and let someone have a piece of your mind, which, by the way is being used by the enemy to steal, kill or destroy, you only fight using your own power. But when you worship our Father, during critical moments, you can rest in His peace because The Most High, the only true living God, comes to your defense and fights your battles for you.
